Hidden for decades in overseas storage, a substantial hoard of Pre-33 US Gold Coins was found and repatriated to the United States in the 2010s, later named the Fairmont Collection. The iconic Indian Half Eagle Coin, America’s first-ever incuse coin design, was among the denominations in the Fairmont Collection. Right now, 1911 $5 Indian Gold Half Eagle Coins are available from JM Bullion.

Each 1911 $5 Indian Gold Half Eagle Coin available here comes in Mint State 64 condition. Coins with this grade exhibit average luster for the age with a good strike. The coins may feature numerous small contact marks in groups and one or two heavier marks. One or two small patches of hairlines are also possible.
The 1911 release of Indian Gold Half Eagles was the last to feature more than two mints striking the coins. All subsequent dates would feature just one mint or two mints in a given year striking the coins. The Philadelphia Mint issued the second-largest volume in 1911 at 915,000 coins, while San Francisco produced the most at 1,416,000 coins. Denver added 72,500 coins to the overall production.
Obverse designs on the 1911 $5 Indian Half Eagle Coin include a bust of an indigenous figure. Designed in 1908 by Bela Lyon Pratt, this left-profile bust of a Native American wearing a full, feathered headdress was the first image of an indigenous figure to feature on American coins.
Reverse visuals on 1911 Indian Gold Half Eagles showcase the American bald eagle. This image was also created by Pratt in 1908 and features a bald eagle in left-profile relief with its wings at its sides. The eagle is perched on a sheaf of arrows that is wrapped in an olive branch, showcasing the combination of war and peace.
