Each 1910 $5 Indian Gold Half Eagle Coin available here comes in Mint State 64 condition. Coins in this condition exhibit an average mint luster for the age with several small contact marks in groups. One or two moderately heavy marks are also possible, as well as one or two small patches of hairlines.
The 1910 release of Indian Gold Half Eagle Coins included issues by the Philadelphia Mint, Denver Mint, and San Francisco Mint. This was one of the final two years to see more than one or two mints issue the Half Eagle. San Francisco issued 770,200 coins, Philadelphia issued 604,000 coins, and Denver produced 193,600 coins.
For the obverse of 1910 $5 Indian Half Eagle Coins, the mint features a depiction of an indigenous figure. Designed by Bela Lyon Pratt as the first-ever incuse design at the mint, this bust shows the indigenous figure in left-profile relief with a feathered headdress.
In the reverse design of 1910 Indian Gold Half Eagles, Pratt offers a depiction of an American bald eagle. The bird is shown at rest on the perch of a sheaf of arrows. The sheaf is wrapped in an olive branch to symbolize both war and peace.
