The Morgan Silver Dollar Coin is one of the most famous circulation coins in American history. Created by US Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan, this popular silver dollar was struck from 1878 to 1904, and again for a final time in 1921. Over the course of time, five different branch mints issued the coins. Today, 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins in certified condition are available to you online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The New Orleans Mint, officially known as the United States Mint at New Orleans, was established in 1838 and operated until 1909. It was one of the branch mints of the United States Mint system. This branch mint issued Morgan Dollars from 1879 to 1904.
All of these 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollars are available to you in Mint State 63 condition. Coins with this grade have slightly impaired mint luster with the potential for numerous small contact marks, scattered heavy marks, small hairlines visible without the aid of magnification, and possibly scuff marks or defects.
On the obverse of the 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coin, you will find the left-profile bust of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1878 by George T. Morgan, this visual remained on the obverse of the coins until the final issue in 1921.
The reverse side of 1900-O Morgan Dollars includes the image of the heraldic eagle. Morgan’s version of the heraldic eagle was unique in its lack of the US national shield. The bald eagle is shown in front-facing relief with spread wings and talons clutching the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
