The obverse of 1899-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coin features a Lady Liberty design from George T. Morgan. Liberty is shown in left-profile relief wearing a Phrygian cap along with a coronet crown and a laurel wreath.13 stars, six on one side and seven on the other complement the image on the bottom of the coin.
George T. Morgan’s heraldic eagle design is featured on the reverse of 1899-O Silver Dollar Coins. This design depicts a bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons.
1899-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins will be packaged within PCGS protective plastic flips. MS64 Coins exhibit average mint luster with groups of small contact marks, one or two heavier marks, and one or two patches of small hairlines possible throughout the design field.
Morgan Silver Dollars were introduced in 1878 and were released annually until 1904. They made a one-year return in 1921 and then again in 2021. The New Orleans Mint started striking these coins in 1879 and ended in 1904. In total, they produced 186 million Morgan Silver Dollar Coins.
