In 1898, the US Mint produced more than 15 million Morgan Silver Dollars, with relatively even production across the Philadelphia, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mints. Philadelphia struck the most coins at 5.884 million, while New Orleans and San Francisco produced 24.44 million and 4.102 million coins respectively.

On the obverse of 1898 Morgan Dollar Coins is a depiction of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1878, this left-profile relief shows Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, coronet crown, and a laurel wreath on her head. The field includes 13 stars in honor of the original American Colonies.
The reverse side of the 1898 Morgan Silver Dollar comes with an image of the heraldic eagle. Also designed by George T. Morgan, this visual shows a bald eagle in front-facing relief with its wings spread wide. The eagle’s talons clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
