On the reverse side of 1894-O $10 Liberty Eagle Coins is a depiction of the heraldic eagle. This design shows a bald eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. These coins are Type II specimens with the added banner above the eagle with the national motto.
The 1894 production of $10 Liberty Eagle Coins included production at three branch mints, with Philadelphia carrying the load at 2,470,735 coins. The other coins were produced at San Francisco with a volume of 25,000 coins, while New Orleans produced 107,500.
