The obverse side of 1894-O $10 Liberty Gold Eagles comes with a portrait of Lady Liberty. The design comes with a left-profile relief that shows Liberty’s hair in a tight bun and a coronet on her head. An arch of 13 stars is featured above her head while the date mark is featured at the bottom.
On the reverse side of 1894-O $10 Liberty Eagle Coins is a depiction of the heraldic eagle. This design shows a bald eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. These coins are Type II specimens with the added banner above the eagle with the national motto.
The 1894 production of $10 Liberty Eagle Coins included production at three branch mints, with Philadelphia carrying the load at 2,470,735 coins. The other coins were produced at San Francisco with a volume of 25,000 coins, while New Orleans produced 107,500.
These 1894-O $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins are available in About Uncirculated 55 condition. An AU55 coin is on the higher end of the AU scale and shows extremely light to trace wear on only the highest relief points. It is also possible for these coins to showcase medium to near-full luster.
