When the Morgan Silver Dollar was introduced in 1878, the Philadelphia Mint, San Francisco Mint, and Carson City Mint all contributed to production. In 1879, the Carson City Mint struck a drastically smaller number of the coins compared to the 2.212 million coins it issued for the series debut in 1878.
The 1879-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coin comes in a tamper-proof plastic container with a label to indicate that circulated Very Fine 25 grade, indicating a coin that shows some overall wear but whose major design features are still clear.
