In 1884, Morgan Dollars were minted at the Philadelphia, Carson City, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mints. New Orleans was among the leaders in production in 1884, striking 9.73 million coins. Only the Philadelphia Mint issued more coins, striking some 14.07 million coins. The San Francisco Mint and Carson City Mint contributed 3.2 million and 1.136 million coins, respectively.
All 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are packaged in plastic flips, with the option to order multiples in tubes of 20. All coins listed here are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
On the obverse, the 1884-O Morgan Dollar Coin features an elegant left-profile relief of Lady Liberty. It is believed that Anna Willes Williams served as the model for this portrayal. Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crown, surrounded by 13 stars.
The reverse of the 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar showcases the heraldic eagle, which is depicted without a national shield. The eagle is shown in a frontal position with its wings spread, grasping both arrows of war and an olive branch, symbolizing peace.
