In 1882, the United States Mint struck large volumes of the Morgan Dollar Coin. The Philadelphia Mint produced the largest volume at 11.1 million coins, with 9.25 million coins from the San Francisco Mint and 6.09 million coins from the New Orleans Mint. The Carson City Mint produced an additional 1.133 million coins.
