The obverse of the 1882-CC Silver Dollar Coin shows a depiction of Lady Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan. Using the likeness of a Philadelphia school teacher, Liberty is seen in left-profile relief with a Phrygian cap and a coronet crown.
The reverse of the 1882-CC Morgan Dollar Coin showcases a heraldic eagle design, also created by George T. Morgan. The eagle can be seen carrying arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Two laurels surround the eagle as well.
This 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coin will arrive inside a protective slab from the PCGS. These coins have been certified and graded as Mint State 62. MS62 coins will have dull or impaired luster, with clusters of small marks that are visible throughout the surface of the coin. Large marks in primary focal areas are also possible.
5 unique branches of the US Mint (Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Carson City) all struck Morgan Silver Dollars. Carson City, in particular, produced these coins from 1878 to 1885, and again from 1889 to 1893. With 13,766,041 coins struck in total, Carson City coins in this series are the most scarce.
