Right now, 1878-S Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are available from JM Bullion.

The 1878 release of the Morgan Silver Dollar was the first in the program’s history and marked the restart of Silver Dollar coining in the United States. The previous dollar coin, the Seated Liberty Dollar, was suspended in 1873 with the end of free silver coining. After a five-year hiatus, the Silver Dollar returned with artwork from George T. Morgan, a new Assistant Engraver at the US Mint in 1878.
The obverse of the 1878-S Morgan Dollar Coin comes with a depiction of Lady Liberty in left-profile relief. Morgan is said to have used Anna Willes Williams as inspiration for his bust of Liberty. The image shows Liberty with a Phrygian cap, laurel wreath, and a coronet crown on her head. The field includes a ring of 13 stars.
On the reverse side of 1878-S Morgan Silver Dollars is the heraldic eagle. Morgan’s version of the heraldic eagle lacked a US national shield, but still showed the American bald eagle in front-facing relief with spread wings. The eagle’s talons clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
