Lady Liberty is on the obverse side of 1878-CC Morgan Dollars. This left-profile relief shows Liberty with a Phrygian cap on her head. She is also wearing a coronet crown and a laurel wreath crown. The field comes with a total of 13 stars and features a date mark at the bottom.
The heraldic eagle of the United States is on the reverse of 1878-CC Morgan Silver Dollars. This design shows an American bald eagle in front-facing relief with no US national shield. In this image, the eagle has its wings spread wide to its sides as it clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. There is also an oak-and-laurel wreath on this side of the coins.
