All 1854 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins available here come in About Uncirculated 53 condition. Coins in this condition come with extremely light or even trace signs of friction only on the highest relief points. Medium to near-full mint luster is also possible on the coins.
On the obverse of each 1854 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle, you’ll find Lady Liberty’s portrait. Designed by Christian Gobrecht in 1838, Liberty is shown in left-profile, wearing a coronet that reads “Liberty.” The design is surrounded by 13 stars, with the date positioned below her.
The reverse of the 1854 Liberty Eagle Coin features Gobrecht’s heraldic eagle image. The eagle has a shield on its chest, and it clutches both arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing the nation’s strength and desire for peace. The face value and country of origin are inscribed on this side.
