Please Note: The 10 Pound Copper Bar has different designs. We will choose the design of our choice based on our current inventory at the time you place your order. Both of these bars contain 10 pounds of .999 copper (160 avoirdupois ounces).

Copper is an increasingly popular precious metal, but still sees relatively low fanfare compared to its well-known counterparts in gold and silver. Long viewed only as an industrial metal, copper is a precious metal with a link to human history that dates back as far as gold and silver. Right now, JM Bullion offers you the chance to purchase a 10 Pound Copper Bullion Bar in brand-new condition.

Bar Highlights:

• Contains 10 Pounds, or 160 AVDP oz, of .999 pure copper.
• Available in a variety of designs.
• Ships in a sealed plastic casing to protect the product.
• Features a rough finish.
• Ideal for investors.

Investors accustomed to purchasing sovereign and commemorative coins with listings in troy ounces might be confused by the AVDP ounces that copper products are listed in. In terms of overall weight, a single troy ounce is heavier (31.1 grams) than a single AVDP ounce (28.35 grams).

The term AVDP ounce is short for Avoirdupois ounce, which was adapted from the French phrase “aveir de pois,” which translates roughly as “goods of weight.” Your common household scale measures in AVDP ounces, and it is a popular measurement for coarse dry weights like grain, flour, and sugar.

Each 10 Pound Copper Bullion Bar available today from JM Bullion has a rough, rustic finish. Many of the bars available have a matte finish, with markings stamped into the surface. The edges are rounded on the sides, while the top edges have a clean cut to them.

Depending upon the specific design available at the time of purchase, the secondary engravings on this side could include a stamp reading “Ten Pounds, USA, .999 Fine Copper” or a vertical arrangement reading “10 Pounds .999 Fine Copper USA.” Please note that your design will depend upon availability when your order is fulfilled.

All copper bullion bars available today are privately minted in the United States, and available to you in brand-new condition.
