The $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coin features the artwork of Christian Gobrecht. Its front is embossed with his neoclassical rendition of Lady Liberty. Gobrecht's design portrays Lady Liberty in profile, wearing an inscribed crown or coronet in her elaborately styled curls. Surrounding her profile is a border of thirteen stars accompanied by the coin's mintage year. Art enthusiasts will note that Gobrecht's design incorporates many of the aesthetics common to Ancient Greco-Roman sculptures such as the shape of her features and arrangement of her hair.

Proudly stamped across the back of the Liberty Eagle is the traditional Heraldic Eagle. This emblem depicts a bald eagle upholding a massive shield along with an olive branch and a set of arrows.
