These rounds are considered lenticular silver rounds with a special obverse design that allows for both Tom & Jerry to feature independently on the obverse field. Tom & Jerry was the creation of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The animated shorts followed the comical clashes between a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. The series debuted in 1940 and enjoyed an original production run of 18 years through 1958, with a total of 114 animated shorts produced during this time. The Tom & Jerry franchise has experienced a number of stops and starts over the last eight decades, with countless spinoffs. The most recent Tom & Jerry escapade was a live-action feature film that was released in February 2021.
Obverse designs on the 1 oz Tom & Jerry Silver Round include the images of both of the titular characters from the franchise. The lenticular design changes as you rotate the round, showing either the right-profile relief of Jerry or the left-profile relief of Tom.
Reverse visuals on 1 oz Tom & Jerry 80th Anniversary Silver Rounds include silhouettes of the two characters battling it out above the 80th-anniversary logo. The name of the series is also included on this side, along with the identifying hallmarks of the silver round.

"I’d like to start by saying that I’ve Always had a pleasant buying experience with JMB and will continue to be a customer. My displeasure is solely with this particular round. I feel that it’s overall appearance is not inline with its price. I simply don’t feel that it’s a $50 item. More like in the $20 range. This is my first 2 star review ever so please don’t think I’m being a negative Nancy… Like I stated earlier, I will continue to be a JMB customer, just won’t be purchasing any more of these rounds. "
