One of America’s greatest coin designs is Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 Walking Liberty design. First used on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947, this image now features on the nation’s official silver bullion coin and has been replicated on products from countless private mints across the country. Right now, 1 oz Sunshine Walking Liberty Silver Rounds are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.
Round Highlights:
Each 1 oz Sunshine Walking Liberty Silver Round available here is sealed in plastic and enclosed within a custom clamshell card. This card design is perfect for gifting this beautiful silver piece to anyone on their birthday.
These Sunshine Minting silver rounds include the manufacturer’s MintMark SI technology, a feature that allows you to authenticate pieces with Decoder Lenses from Sunshine. The Decoder Lens is sold separately.
Walking Liberty is on the obverse of the Sunshine Walking Liberty Silver Round. Inspired by the French coin design known as the Sower from the 1890s, this image shows the full-length figure of Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. She extends her right hand while carrying branches of oak and laurel in her left.
The heraldic eagle of the United States is on the reverse of these 1 oz Walking Liberty Silver Rounds. This design was first created in 1794 by Robert Scot and has been modernized several times since for American coinage. John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, created this design in 1986 for the Silver Eagle bullion series.
