It depicts the individual in right-profile relief with braided hair and feathers woven into the braids. This side includes the America250 privy mark beneath the chin of the indigenous figure.
On the reverse of 1 oz Buffalo Silver Rounds from Sunshine, you’ll find an image of the American bison. Also designed by Fraser, this image was inspired by Black Diamond, a resident bison at New York City’s Central Park Zoo in the early 20th century. The design shows the mighty bison in left-profile relief as it stands atop a small mound of dirt.
