Amy Brown was born in Bellingham, Washington and took to drawing at a young age. From the very beginning, she was fascinated with the potential and creativity of the fantasy realm. By 1992, she found herself working in a small art gallery and drawing her own fairies. In 1997, she began selling her works on the internet and was licensing her work to larger outlets by the year 2000.
In the Amy Brown Collection from Anonymous Mint, many of Brown’s greatest designs come to life on silver rounds. The collection includes six designs, with six versions of each design released in proof, antique, and colorized options in the collection.
On the obverse of the 1 oz Proof Amy Brown Collection Lady of the Forest Silver Round you’ll find the Lady of the Forest. Brown created this image in 2011, and it was first used on her book “Visions of Faery.” Released in 2012, the book contained 65 full-color images of faeries created by Brown. The Lady of the Forest wears beautiful, warm hues of green and has wings that mimic the appearance of leaves on the trees of the forest.
The reverse of the Amy Brown Collection Lady of the Forest Rounds features the common design in the series. Brown created the image of the fairy known as Dusk in 2003, which was featured in the book “The Art of Amy Brown II.”
