The obverse side of each round features a mother and baby panda in their native habitat. The fine rendering on this appealing medallion is quite remarkable and makes for an endearing presentation.
The reverse side of the round features Christian Gobrecht’s design for the Seated Liberty Quarter with Arrows and Rays for the 1853 issue. Gobrecht’s eagle stands triumphantly with its wings spread wide. Its right claws clasp arrows and its left clasps the branch of an olive tree. The eagle bears a shield on its breast. Above the image are the words COPPER .999 FINE, and USA. Below the eagle are the words ONE A.V.D.P. OUNCE.
