The Golden State Mint (GSM) opened in 1974 as a family-run business. Jim Pavlakos founded this privately owned mint and now helps run it alongside his son, Andrew. This mint has facilities operating in both Florida and California. They’re known for their unique silver, gold, and copper rounds.

Each 1 oz GSM Eagle Copper Round will arrive in brand-new condition. Individual copper rounds will arrive in protective plastic flips, while multiples are issued inside tubes containing 20 copper rounds. Every round in this listing was created by the Golden State Mint. The GSM also creates a 2 oz and 5 oz copper version of this round, as well as gold and silver versions.

The obverse of each 1 oz GSM Eagle Round features multiple depictions of bald eagles. One eagle is seen in right-profile relief as another smaller eagle is seen soaring in the foreground. The words “Strength, freedom, pride” also bear the obverse design.

The reverse side of each 1 oz GSM Copper Round features the American flag. The flag is seen flowing in the wind as identifying marks of the round surround the image.
