The Through That Door Series from Chautauqua Silver Works and the North American Mint is meant to challenge our perceptions of decision-making. Life can best be viewed at times as a series of doors. These doors represent the choices we can make. You won’t know what happens until you open that door and step through, just as you won’t know the outcome of a decision until it’s made. Right now, the 1 oz Forgo Silver Round in the Through That Door Series is available to purchase online from JM Bullion.
Round Highlights:
- Arrives inside of an individual protective capsule!
- 5th round design in the Through That Door Series!
- Limited mintage of only 2,500 rounds!
- Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
- A simple door with the number “5” is on the obverse.
- The reverse uses the Chautauqua Silver Works logo as all other rounds in the series do.
- Individual serial numbers etched on the edges.
Each 1 oz Forgo Silver Round in the Through That Door Series is available to you in brand-new condition. These silver rounds have a proof-like finish that results in frosted design elements overlaying mirrored background fields. Each 1 oz silver round is housed inside of its own protective capsule and features an individual serial number etched onto the edges.
As with other releases in this series, the 1 oz Forgo Silver Round has the nine-door arch on the obverse design field. Typically, the round releases have an open door representing its number in the series. This element is featured on all rounds in the series, but there’s a slight change to this for the Forgo Silver Round. The nine doors are still there, but door number five isn’t open.
The obverse of 1 oz Forgo Silver Rounds offers the simplest design in the collection to date. Along with the arch of doors at the top of the design field, there is a larger door with the number “5” in its window in the center of the design field. As mentioned above, door number five in the arch is closed this time rather than open.
There are times in life when we must forgo making a decision. Whether the choice to act is too confusing or too hard to make, or the outcome is so unknown, there are times when no decision is better than making a decision. This design clearly points to the situations in which the door shouldn’t open and we shouldn’t peek at the other side.
On the reverse of Forgo Silver Rounds is the Chautauqua Silver Works’ bullseye logo design, complete with the weight, purity, and metal content of the round. You will also notice the motto of the silver works.
