The South Dakota state flag features a design that represents the state’s natural beauty, history, and values. The current version of the flag was adopted in 1992, replacing an earlier design that had been in use since 1909. The flag consists of a field of sky blue with the state seal prominently displayed in the center.

The South Dakota flag is captured on the reverse side of the bar with beautiful colorization. Each of the US states will be represented in the State Flag Bar Series, with an additional four national flags representing the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
For the obverse of the Colorized Scottsdale South Dakota State Flag Silver Bar, you will find a depiction of the Scottsdale Mint logo. This crowned lion is set on the right side of the field, with the Scottsdale name on the left side of the field.
In the reverse design of 1 oz Colorized South Dakota State Flag Silver Bars is a colorized image of the state’s flag. The state seal, which forms the centerpiece of the flag, is a complex circular design rich with symbolism. It depicts a range of mountains with a sun rising behind them, representing the Black Hills and the state’s natural beauty. In the foreground, a steamboat navigates a river, symbolizing commerce and transportation. On the banks of the river, a farmer plows a field near a herd of cattle, representing agriculture and livestock, two key industries in South Dakota.
