The Connecticut state flag was officially adopted on September 9, 1897. It features a rococo shield from the state seal on an azure blue background. The shield depicts three grapevines, each bearing three bunches of purple grapes. Below the shield is a white ribbon with the state motto “Qui Transtulit Sustinet” written in black letters.
All 1 oz Colorized Scottsdale Connecticut State Flag Silver Bars come with individual protective capsules. This bar is part of the Scottsdale Flag Bar Series and features its own, unique colorized reverse. The series features 54 bars in total, with all 50 states represented alongside the flags of the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
The obverse of the Colorized Scottsdale Connecticut State Flag Silver Bar comes with the image of the Scottsdale Lion. This crowned lion in front-facing relief is the mint emblem and is set on the right side of the field. The mint name is engraved on the left side of the field, with the weight, metal content, and purity of the bar noted at the top.
On the reverse side of 1 oz Colorized Connecticut State Flag Silver Bars, you will find the state flag for Connecticut. The three grapevines on the shield are the central and most distinctive element of the flag. These vines represent the three original colonies or settlements that came together to form Connecticut: Hartford, Windsor, and Wethersfield. Some historians also suggest that the grapevines might symbolize either the early European settlers who brought grapevine cuttings with them or the Native Americans who helped the settlers survive by sharing their agricultural knowledge.
