Each 1 oz Colorized Scottsdale Alabama State Flag Silver Bar is available to you with an individual plastic capsule. Each flag has a colorized reverse accurately replicating the flags featured in the series.
The Alabama state flag design was established by Act 383 of the Alabama state legislature, which specified that the state flag should be “a crimson cross of St. Andrew on a field of white.” The act was approved on February 16, 1895, making Alabama one of the earlier states to adopt an official flag following the Civil War. Interestingly, the specific shade of red was not specified in the original legislation, leading to some variation in reproductions over the years.
In the obverse of the Colorized Alabama State Flag Silver Bar, you will find the common design element for the series. Here, the Scottsdale Lion is featured along the right side of the field with half the logo’s design visible on the bar. The name of the mint is engraved along the left, with the identifying hallmarks at the top.
For the reverse of the 1 oz Colorized Scottsdale Alabama Flag Silver Bar, the mint features a replication of the Alabama state flag. The Alabama state flag is a simple yet distinctive design that has represented the state since 1895. It consists of a crimson St. Andrew’s cross on a white field, forming an X-shape across the entire flag. This design is often referred to as a saltire and is one of the most recognizable state flags in the United States due to its stark simplicity.
