The American Western Skulls Collection of silver rounds is coined at the Osborne Mint, America’s oldest private mint. The six releases in the round series feature a different character from the Wild West. From lawmen and indigenous tribal members to US Army soldiers of the era, the romanticized Wild West comes crashing down in this deathly series of rounds.
For the fifth release in the collection, the Indian Brave design arrives in what might be the most fearsome design. These 1 oz Colorized Proof American Western Skulls Indian Brave Silver Rounds have elements of color added to the design of the Indian Brave on the obverse. His skull has a weathered, earthy tone. His hair is a dark brown and the feathers woven into his long hair in the back have shades of white, brown, and tan. The standout characteristic is the red of his eyes though!
On the obverse of the 1 oz Colorized Proof Indian Brave Round you’ll find the aforementioned Brave design. In keeping with other rounds issued in this collection, there are common design elements featured on the obverse. The word “Liberty” is engraved along the top of the round and the year of issue at the bottom. Crossed weapons are also included, and in the case of the Indian Brave, it is a pair of small, sharp knives.
The reverse of all American Western Skulls Indian Brave Silver Rounds uses the fried eagle design. A deadly riff on the heraldic eagle, this bald eagle is dead just like the characters on the obverse side.
These 1 oz Colorized Proof American Western Skulls Indian Brave Silver Rounds ship in protective capsules, have an edge-lettered serial number stamped on and come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
