Unidentified flying objects were seen flying over the city of Los Angeles, at the time, it was believed that the city was under attack by Japan. For over 2 hours, anti-aircraft shells, and machine gun rounds were fired into the sky which damaged numerous buildings and vehicles in the city. However, no aircraft was ever identified.
The obverse side of the Battle Los Angeles Silver Round shows UFOs over Los Angeles. In this depiction, we see the Los Angeles skyline with an army of UFOs seen above it about to take the city over.
The reverse side of the 1 oz Battle Los Angeles Round shows two UFOs. One UFO shows the Intaglio Mint logo, while the other shows the logo of M6 Metals who created the design. In the background, we see a repeating pattern of UFOs.
