This 1 oz Atlantis Silver Lion Round has been produced by the Atlantis Mint which is located in the state of Maryland. In fact, these pieces are actually the very first rounds created by the Atlantis Mint, and each has been minted from .999 fine silver. Though the mint’s hand poured silver bars have seen popularity in the world of precious metals, they have never before produced silver rounds until now.
Both sides of the lion round are endowed with intriguing images, celebrating the continent of Africa and its wildlife. The obverse side of the round features an almost abstract, profiled image of a lions face that is composed of three distinct finishes. Art aficionados will enjoy the modern composition that captures the austere gaze of the lion with its freely-flowing mane.
