Round Highlights:
Each 1 oz Antique Soldier Bullion Series Greaseman Gary Silver Round available here at JM Bullion comes with individual packaging. The antique silver rounds in this series are packaged in blistercards that contain Certificate of Authenticity information on the card. The antique polish creates the visual appeal of an ancient piece of coinage.
The former silver statues series featuring these characters from the Soldier Bullion round series offered realistic depictions of American servicemembers from the World War II era. In the Soldier Bullion Series, those same figures return, but with more of a cartoon-like or caricature format. First up was Stovepipe Sterling, and he is now joined by his squad mate, Greaseman Gary.
Obverse visuals on Antique Soldier Bullion Series Greaseman Gary Silver Rounds include a depiction of Greaseman in the thick of the fight. He is shown in right-profile relief with his M3 submachine gun in his hands as smoke billows on the battlefield in the background. Greaseman Gary is so-named for the resemblance of his gun to an auto mechanic’s grease gun. Known officially as the M3, this submachine gun used by Gary was developed for the United States Army in 1942 and first entered service in December of that year.
Reverse designs on the 1 oz Antique Soldier Bullion Series Greaseman Gary Silver Rounds offer a common design element for the collection. Here, you will find a large five-pointed star at the center with the name of the series in the middle. This is surrounded by light rays throughout the background field with the identifying hallmarks of the round on this side as well.
