Alphonse Maria Mucha was born in Moravia in the Austrian Empire, now Czech Republic, in July 1860. He would go on to become a famed Czech art nouveau painter and decorative artist who is considered by many to be the father of the art nouveau movement. He was an active artist, creating new designs and paintings up until his death in 1939.
The all-new Mucha Collection of silver rounds from Anonymous Mint celebrates six of his greatest works, and starts with arguably one of his best in the form of Job. Mucha completed the design of Job in 1896, and it went on to become one of the most famous advertising posters of its day in Europe.
Each of the 1 oz Antique Mucha Collection Job Silver Rounds in this product listing has a brilliant antique finish that adds depth to the design, as well as warmth and age to its appearance. The rounds all have edge lettering with an individual serial number engraved that matches the numbered Certificate of Authenticity you receive with purchase.
The reverse of all 1 oz Antique Mucha Collection Silver Rounds includes a portrait of Mucha himself. Along with his portrait are engravings of his name, the round’s weight, purity, and metal content, and the birth and death years for the famed artist.
On the obverse of the 1 oz Antique Job Silver Round is the image of Job. Mucha became well known for his artwork featuring beautiful women, many with long, flowing hair. Job is a trademark for the Joseph Bardou Company, which manufactures cigarette paper. That is reflected in Job’s figure holding a lit cigarette in her right hand while smoke rises and intertwines with her hair.
Anonymous Mint is a small operation that creates truly unique, one-of-a-kind silver and copper products. Julie Lindquist worked with Anonymous to create the dies and refine the designs for use on a silver round program.

“I bought the proof and the antique coin in this. I like the antique but my daughter likes the proof. You can’t go wrong with any of these coins. The detail is amazing. My new favorite coins.”
