The proof-like and antique versions have mintage caps, while the bullion round is struck with no set cap in place. The antique silver round in the series has a distinctive polish that creates old-school appeal with brushed, matte visuals.
All of the 1 oz Antique Ends of the Earth Silverbug Island Rounds available from JM Bullion are offered with a protective plastic capsule to house each individual round. The antique rounds have the lowest mintage in the series at just 2,000 rounds per design release.
On the obverse side of the 1 oz Antique Ends of the Earth Silverbug Island Round, you will find the image of a sailboat out on calm waters on a sun-kissed day. With but a few clouds dotting the horizon, the boat sails parallel to the edge of the world as the waters of the ocean plummet off the edge of the world. While the birds continue to fly, not subject to the currents, but the boat risks certain death. In the foreground, an open treasure chest floats perilously close to the edge.
The reverse face of the Antique Ends of the Earth Silverbug Island Round includes the common design element used throughout the series. Here, several ships have crashed on the shoals and coral reefs around Silverbug Island. Consisting entirely of silver coins, Silverbug Island is a temptress that teases those who wish to become rich to try and land on its shores. Success, as you can see, is not a guarantee for any ship and crew.
