Amy Brown began her career painting fairies in the 1990s, with her art initially selling at local shops and street fairs. She has an immense passion for watercolor painting and a love of fairies that inspired her early works. Throughout her career, she has created more than 2,000 paintings and licensed dozens of her paintings.
On the obverse of all 1 oz Antique Amy Brown Collection Red Queen Silver Rounds you’ll note the image of the Red Queen. Created in 2016, the Red Queen is a detailed design that features the Red Queen as she strolls through the fairy realm with a small bird and unicorn accompanying her on her journey. Her figure includes large wings that rise up from her back and follow behind her as she walks.
The reverse of the Amy Brown Silver Round Collection uses a common design. Dusk is a fairy created in 2003 by Brown, and her figure is one of graceful dreaminess. She is depicted in a seated position at a high vantage point looking out over the design field, and the background includes a display of twinkling stars as the early evening descends into darkness.
All of the Amy Brown Collection silver rounds were designed at the Anonymous Mint with sculpts of each design created by Master Sculptor Luigi Badia. Osborne Mint, the oldest operating private mint in the US, struck each round.
