Silver is considered a solid safe-haven investment for those wishing to avoid the ups and downs of the modern stock market. While sovereign mint coins and bars often come with high premiums over the spot price of silver, minting facilities like Suns of Liberty Mint are able to sell precious metals at much lower premiums over the spot price.
In most cases this is a result of simpler production methods. Proof and burnished coins, such as those from the United States Mint, have intense production processes that involve hand loading of coining presses and individually handled products by workers with white gloves to avoid tarnishing the finish.
Each of these ¼ oz. Standard Finish Suns of Liberty Mint Silver Squares has the benefit of lower premiums because the squares are made with technology largely developed by the founder and operator of Suns of Liberty Mint. These products feature .999 pure silver and have simple, yet beautiful designs.
On the obverse of the ¼ oz Standard Finish Suns of Liberty Mint Silver Squares you’ll find the engraving of “.25” prominently stamped in the center of the design. Above it is the purity and metal content of the square, while the weight indicator “Troy Oz.” is featured below.
The reverse side of these silver squares features the repeating image of the Suns of Liberty Mint’s logo, a small sun. Additional engravings include “Suns of Liberty Mint” and “.25 Troy Oz” across the round at a 45-degree angle.
Suns of Liberty Mint was founded in 2011 by Dave Breger, who started by hand cutting and stamping all of the silver squares produced by his fledgling company. A veteran of the US Army Special Forces, Breger now operates a mint with an industrial manufacturing facility in Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania. All SOLM products are 100% Made in the USA.
