Chinese Gold Panda coins from the Chinese Mint are available annually in five total weights. In the middle of this series is the 1/4 oz gold coin, issued in this particular weight from 1982 to 2015. The coin was eventually replaced by the 8 Gram gold coin in 2016. Today, 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coins in perfect condition are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda was first issued by the Chinese Mint in 1982 when the series debuted with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/10 oz gold coins alongside this weight. From 1982 to 2000, the coins had lower face values in Yuan. The 1/4 oz Gold Panda was originally valued at 25 Yuan. In 2001, all of the face values were adjusted upward, with the 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda boosted up to 100 Yuan.
All of these 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coins are available to you in perfect condition. Either the PCGS or NGC issued the Mint State 70 certification to these coins as a result of the presence of full, original mint luster and no detracting flaws of any kind. JM Bullion selects your coins at our discretion after your payment has been processed.
We are not able to guarantee the date mark of the coin you receive, and as a result, cannot guarantee the design that will feature on the reverse. Chinese Gold Panda coins have a new reverse design element each year. It is possible, though not guaranteed, that these coins could have additional labels such as First Strike or Early Release. Please keep in mind that buying several coins can result in receiving several matching coins.
On the obverse of all 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coins is the image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven complex. The reverse field of 1/4 oz Chinese Gold Panda Coins includes a new design of the Giant Panda each year, with the exception of the 2001 and 2002 coins that featured the same design.
