Gold bars for sale from Argor-Heraeus come in three major collections. The oldest two are the Classic Series, such as this bar, and the cast gold bars. Cast gold bars are simple pieces that have as few inscriptions as possible and are quicker to make, helping to lower the premium associated with the cost of buying the bars. Classic Series minted ingots are more refined and have more detailed inscriptions, but in many cases have a blank reverse and come with a much lower premium over the spot price of gold than other gold minted ingots.
All of the 1/4 oz Argor-Heraeus Gold Bars available here at JM Bullion come with a sealed blisterpack to house the bar. The blisterpacks include a protective capsule space for the bar and a black card surrounding it. The front face of the card has the mint name and the matching serial number as engraved on the bar. The reverse of the card has the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar, as well as the signature of a certified assayer. All bars are new from the mint.
On the obverse side of 1/4 oz Argor-Heraeus Gold Bars is a depiction of the mint logo. The Argor-Heraeus logo features a stylized, curved AH at the center of a ringed circle that includes the full name of the mint around it. The nation of issue, weight, metal content, and purity are featured on this side, as well as the unique serial number.
The reverse face of 1/4 oz Gold Bars from Argor-Heraeus is blank. While many mints will issue a design on this face of the bar as well, Argor-Heraeus has chosen to leave the reverse blank. While this means there is no design, it also means the premium is lower because fewer steps were taken during the production process.
