Silver coins are a favorite of investors because of the affordable value of silver compared to gold and the capability to store wealth. Silver can, in some cases, be purchased in amounts similar to gold when fractional-ounce coins are offered. Though rare, you can find 1/2 oz silver in many collections. Right now, 1/2 oz Silver Coins in varied conditions are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.

Each of the 1/2 oz Silver Coins available in this JM Bullion listing comes in varied conditions. While some coins may arrive in brand-new or Brilliant Uncirculated condition with only minor production flaws possible, others could have varying degrees of wear and tear present on the design elements and surface areas.
JM Bullion selects coins at random through this listing. Once your payment has been processed, we will select a 1/2 oz silver coin based on availability at that point in time. As a result, we cannot promise a particular design, date mark, or condition for the coin you receive. If you purchase multiples, please note this could result in receiving several coins with the same dates, designs, and conditions.
1/2 oz Silver Coins are among the most common of fractional-ounce silver bullion specimens. The Mexican Silver Libertad from the Mexican Mint is one such example. This fractional-ounce option was introduced by the mint in 1992 and remains in production annually as a part of that series. Each coin in that series has .999 pure silver content.
As an alternative example, there is the Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark collection. This series launched in 2011 with 1/4 oz and 1 oz coins available alongside a 1/2 oz silver series. Like the Mexican Libertad, it features .999 pure silver and has the same obverse and reverse designs each year.
Finally, another example of a possible 1/2 oz Silver Coin would be the Somalia Silver Elephant. This collection has been available from the Bavarian State Mint since 1999, but originated as the Zambia Silver Elephant. As of 2004, it has been issued for Somalia and gained its 1/2 oz silver weight in 2017.

“Took a chance on these, based on the company's excellent reputation and the good reviews. I ordered more than 10. The quality, the packing, the delivery – all great. BUT – all of them were identical, and not particularly attractive. I was hoping for an interesting grab-bag of different ones. In JM Bullion's defense, they never said they would all be different, and even I had presumed some might be duplicates or lower-quality. It just never occurred to me they would all be the SAME. I definitely got what I paid for – no complaint there – just not what I had hoped for.”
