The coining history of the Indian Head coinage from the United States is part of a greater movement in 20th-century America. During the first decade of the century, several American coins and notes were redesigned to feature indigenous tribal figures for the first time in history.
Pratt's designs of the indigenous American figure on the Indian Head Series were featured in separate design series on the Quarter Eagle and Half Eagle Gold Coins, with the US Mint initially striking the coins at the Denver Mint and Philadelphia Mint locations.
The obverse of the 1/10 oz Incuse Indian Silver Round displays a left-profile relief of a Native American leader wearing a full headdress, along with 15 stars and the word LIBERTY. The design is incuse, indicating that it is struck into the coin's surface rather than raised on it.
The reverse of the SilverTowne Incuse Indian Silver Round presents the image of the American bald eagle.
